A brief note

To the person who checks out mysteries (and other fiction) from the Richmond Public Library and marks grammatical errors:

Please stop.

Thank you.

oh boy, you have one of those too? I especially hate it when the typo correction is incorrect. It just ruins my day.

This one gets the corrections mostly right. I feel a certain amount of evil glee when s/he is wrong. What's worse, though, is the occasional critique of the book. The last book had the usual grammatical corrections and, more than two-thirds of the way through, a note: "This is a terrible book!" And I thought, well, why are you bothering to proofread it then?
