Look over there!

I've written well over my hundred words today, but they're over in Campus in Flames. I've posted all the best pictures (about 23 out of 110) and some comments, as well as a couple links to newspaper stories.

I sure was an idiot and now we've got photographic proof.

We went over to that area today and I got some pictures of the aftermath that I'll add at some point.

Great photos! Seeing how quickly the whole thing went up makes me wonder if ugly Asian construction might not be onto something with their over-reliance on concrete, rebar and steel.

No kidding. That building went up as if it were made of popsicle sticks soaked in gasoline. I'm glad it burned down before they put 172 kids in it. The fire may have spread so fast because the building was still very open and it drafted well, or because there was no functional sprinkler system. Even so, there would be more of it left if it had been constructed with a higher percentage of non-flammable materials.
